How it works

Three steps. No surprises.

We built our process around one principle: give homeowners honest information and let them decide. No pressure, no gimmicks.

  1. 01
    Tell us about your attic

Call, text, or book online. We'll ask a few questions about your current insulation, home age, and what you're hoping to achieve.

  2. 02
    Free estimate, no pressure

We come take a look. Thermal camera, attic inspection, written quote. No sales pitch, no 'this offer expires today.'

  3. 03
    Installed, cleaned up, done

Most jobs are done in a day. We use walk boards, seal off the work area, HEPA vac on the way out. You won't even know we were there — except your house will feel better.

A note from Neal

Read this before you call anyone.

Howdy, neighbor. My name's Neal, and I run DFW Attic Insulation — a local crew based right here in North Texas.

I've been in the roofing and construction industry for over 20 years. One thing I kept seeing? Homeowners paying through the nose for houses that feel like a convection oven in July. The fix isn't always a new roof or a bigger AC unit. Half the time, the problem is right above your ceiling.

Your attic in July hits 140 to 150 degrees. That heat pushes down through your ceiling drywall, through the ductwork, through every wall cavity it can find. Your AC runs longer. Your bills go up. Most of the time the fix is simple: about a foot of blown-in fiberglass, some air sealing around the penetrations, and baffles so your vents still work. Most homeowners save $400 to $800 a year.

insulation isn't glamorous. It's not flashy. But it changes everything. We show up when we say we will, we explain things in plain English, and we treat your home like we'd treat our own. If you don't need insulation, we'll tell you. We'd rather lose a sale than sell something you don't need.

Why DFW Attic Insulation

Insulation is what we do.
Every day, every job.

We're not general contractors who also do insulation. We're attic specialists. Here's what that means for you.

We air-seal before we insulate

Insulation slows heat transfer. Air leaks bypass it entirely. We seal every penetration, chase, and gap before blowing a single ounce of fiberglass.

We don't block your soffit vents

Baffles are non-negotiable. We install them on every job so your attic ventilation stays intact. It's the #1 mistake we see from other crews.

Flat pricing, no surprises

You get a written quote before we start. The price on the paper is what you pay. No "we found more issues" upsell halfway through.

We clean up like we were never there

Walk boards, sealed work area, HEPA vac on the way out. You won't find fiberglass dust in your hallway or insulation in your driveway.

We'll tell you if you don't need us

If your attic already has adequate insulation, we'll say so. We'd rather lose a sale than sell something you don't need.

Local DFW crew, not a franchise

We're based in Dallas-Fort Worth, not a call center in another state. When you call, you get one of us — not a dispatcher reading a script.

FAQs

Common questions, straight up

How much does attic insulation cost in DFW?
For a typical 1,500 sq ft home, R-38 blown-in fiberglass runs $1,300–$2,200 installed. R-49 is $1,600–$2,700. That includes air sealing, baffles, materials, and cleanup.
How much will I save on my energy bills?
Most DFW homeowners save $400–$800 per year after upgrading to R-38 or R-49 blown-in insulation. Payback is typically 2–4 years. Some customers see their summer bills cut in half.
What R-value do I need for my attic?
DFW is climate zone 3, which calls for R-38 minimum in attics. R-49 is better if you have the ceiling height. If your insulation is level with or below your joists, you need more.
Do I need to remove old insulation first?
Not always. If your existing insulation is dry, clean, and not compressed, we can add on top. If it's contaminated (rodents, mold, heavy dust), removal is recommended first.
How long does installation take?
Most attic insulation jobs are done in a single day. A 1,500 sq ft attic typically takes 3–5 hours including prep, air sealing, baffle installation, and cleanup.
Is spray foam better than blown-in insulation?
It depends on your situation. Spray foam has a higher R-value per inch and also air-seals. But it costs more and requires careful installation. For most DFW attics, blown-in fiberglass at R-38 or R-49 offers the best value.
